Born in Manchester, educated University of Birmingham. Trained as an actor and performed stand-up in New York. Began writing comedy material for the ALI-G links in “THE 11 O’CLOCK SHOW” as well as programmes such as “THE BIG BREAKFAST”. Co-wrote “DEAD AIR”, a black comedy short film starring Lindsey Coulson, broadcast on BBC 3 and selected for a number of international festivals. Subsequently commissioned to write an original screenplay, “PUTNEY HIGH” for Renaissance Films and a Sci-Fi thriller series “G-2” for World Productions. He was commissioned by BBC Serials to write REGRETS as one of eight 60min singles in a new strand called My Film. Michael took part in the 2008 BBC Writers Academy and has been signed up for a bulk deal on CASUALTY in 2009.
