Tia-Renée Mullings is a British-Caribbean writer and spoken word poet from South London. Her first play LITTLE ANGELA DAVIS won the Mustapha Matura Award 2023, also shortlisted for the Alfred Fagon Award 2023.

Her second play A TO B, written on the Royal Court writer’s group 2024, was shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Playwriting 2026. It went to the Edinburgh fringe as a Shedinburgh Original before making its sold-out debut at the Soho Theatre in 2026.

Her play DUPPIES was recently staged in a sold-out reading as part of the Royal Court Open Submissions Festival 2026 and is currently in further development.

Most recently, her comedy pilot MINORITY RULES earned her a place on Channel 4 Screenwriting 2026, where she developed an original drama pilot DEAD YARD.
