Current commissions include, original feature film, DONCASTER FEVER (Catalyst/BFI) and a second commission from Catalyst, an adaptation of Benjamin Myers novel, THE OFFING (Amy writing solo).  Guest-writing on THE WINTER KING (Bad Wolf/Epix), prod Autumn 22.

TV writing credits include CALL THE MIDWIFE (BBC/Neal Street), OUR GIRL (BBC Studios), GAP YEAR (C4/Eleven/Hulu), 2 x 60 COLD FEET (ITV), THE WHITE PRINCESS (Starz/Company), 2 x 60 THE VILLAGE (BBC/Company), 2 x 60 MOUNT PLEASANT (SKY/Tiger Aspect), 2 x 60 SHAMELESS (C4/Company).  The team met whilst working as script editors on SHAMELESS. After story producing and editing Series 10, they were commissioned as a duo to write two episodes of the final series.

Before becoming a writer, Amy worked in drama development and production at BBC Scotland.  Amy co produced FIELD OF BLOOD, script edited WATERLOO ROAD and was story producer on RIVER CITY, where she headed the team to a Scottish BAFTA nomination.  Amy was co-creator and lead writer of Oran Mor’s (Glasgow) soap for the stage, WESTENDERS (2009-2010). Amy lives in Glasgow.  Loren McLaughlan graduated from the University of Manchester’s New Writing Centre with an MA in Creative Writing. After working in production for several years, Loren moved into script editing and worked on various shows, including CORONATION STREET and SHAMELESS. Loren lives in Rochdale.
