Alex’s original crime series THE JUGULAR is currently in development with Patrick Spence (AC Chapter One) and UKTV, for which he has written two episodes. His original spy series THE MAN WHO NEVER LEFT is being developed by Fremantle and Johan Renck’s Sinestra. Alex is also developing original television projects with STV and Red Planet. Alex’s feature slate includes the psychological sports drama CRANIUM, which the BFI is developing with Elation Pictures, as well as an adaptation of the true story of the Kent security depot heist for Mandalay Pictures.
Alex has been in writers’ rooms for THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY (Altitude) TEMPLE (Sky), ELEPHANT (Cowboy Films) THE CAPTURE S2 (BBC), and A TOWN CALLED MALICE (Sky). Alex is also a critically acclaimed, best-selling comic book writer. His original comic book series PROCTOR VALLEY ROAD, which he co-wrote with comic book titan Grant Morrison for Boom Studios, was Universal Pictures’ first comic release under its graphic novel imprint UCP Graphic. Alex was nominated for a Bram Stoker Awards for Best Graphic Novel for his work on the series in 2023. Credits include HOLBY CITY and the horror film TREEHOUSE.
