In 2013 Tara Gladden won the BBC FastTrain Scotland Drama competition for her spec script for Waterloo Road. Her sitcom DEAR PRUDENCE (‘One to watch’, Funny Women) centres on a rogue agony aunt and her bad advice. She is also working on spec features TEN THINGS TO DO BEFORE YOU DIE, DIRTY THIRTY and SWALLOW, as well as an animated feature EEL PIE ISLAND and with her writing collective, Splinter, short films BIOMETRICS and DUST & RESIN. After living in Tokyo, Chicago and New York (where she performed with an assortment of improv troupes), Tara is now based in London. As a freelance editor and writer, she has worked for Hodder & Stoughton, Radley Yeldar, Hesperus Press, Condé Nast Traveller and the Commonwealth Foundation. Her work includes ghosting an original crime novel, writing columns for the Telegraph and devising award-winning social games.
